Another fall 2021 update

The bad news: rising packaging costs are making food more expensive. The good news: thanks to the support of Twin Cities Food Justice, CANMN, and some home bakers, we've still been able to keep the average cost below a dollar per meal. And thanks to all of you, we've been able to cook even more meals than we did this summer! The black bean enchilada bake shown here was a favorite last month.

You may have also seen that we did a small push to cover pizza when the kitchen was closed for Election Day (thank you to everyone who made that possible!) and have been doing some extra fundraising to catch up on past expenses, trying to make sure we can end this year in the black and start fresh in 2021. We're close to the finish line - deepest thanks to everyone who has contributed to that effort.

Finally, in exciting news, we have a logo! One of our team members has been sharing their UI/UX experience as well as fab baking skills, and we're thrilled to share the results: a veggie-inspired background with a doodle of our signature brown paper bag. You'll find it on this page as well as on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and on volunteer signups moving forward (here's December!).
